“20 Years’ Hard Work; 20 Years’ Achievements”. Shenzhen New World Group embraced its 20^thbirthday in thisbeautiful spring.

Shenzhen New World Group’s 20^th ceremony was held at Marco Polo Hotel Shenzhenon Mar.2, 2013. Huangwei, Deputy Chairman of Hong Kong Commercial Daily andPresident of Shenzhen New World Group, and, employees of the Group,representatives of business partners and news media were present.

The celebration began with the wonderful melody of “Song of New World”. Aftervisiting the corridor that presents the Group’s 20 years’ development,management of the Group and the important guests, led by President Huangwei,walked into the meeting venue.

During the ceremony, Huangwei, Deputy Chairman of Hong Kong Commercial Daily andPresident of Shenzhen New World Group, gave an impassioned speech. He showedhis welcome to all presented leaders and guests, and expressed his thanks to governmentsat all levels, related departments, media, old staffs and old friends for theircontinued support to New World. During the 20 years’ developing course, whilethere were pays and hardship, there were harvest and joys as well. After givinga systematic summary to the achievements and experience gained over the past 20years, President Huangwei put forward the strategy and ideas of futuredevelopment, and expressed his earnest hopes to all employees.

Then,President Huang Wei together with all participants watched a video about thecompany’s 20 years development. The inspiring video presented the remarkable achievementsthat the company has achieved in fields of real estate development, investment,construction, property management, department stores, hotel, media, etc. sincethe establishment of Shenzhen Bao’an New World Industry Co., Ltd.  Especially in year 2010 and 2011, the Group purchasedLos Angeles Marriott Hotel and Sheraton Universal Hotel in $63 million and $90million respectively. While these purchases fulfilled the company’s dream oftransnational development, they were the first successful cases in which 5 starhotels in USA purchased by Chinese enterprise. So far, these purchases are thebiggest purchases in the history that Chinese enterprises enter into USA’shotel industry.

After watching the short video, General Manager Yan Jun read out the names ofemployees who had worked in the company for 15 years; and President Huang Weigave them cash rewards and took group photos with them. Zhang Jinyong,representative of workers with a seniority of more than 15 years made a speechin which he expressed his thanks to the company. He said that, thanks for allthe opportunities that New World had given him; he grew into an excellent hydroengineer. He call for all staffs to be thankful, to help each other in life,to support each other in work and move fo rward together, and to work togetherto create a brighter future for New World Group.

At the end of the ceremony, President Huang Wei launched the event together withother important guests. This signs the official beginning of New World’s newjourney. Shenzhen New World will write a new chapter basing on its 20 yearsdevelopment!
